Gli sposi, di spalle, pendono dalle labbra del prete, che sta celebrando la cerimonia secondo il rito anglicano. Tutta la chiesa è commossa e attenta: siamo al culmine della liturgia e gli sposi stanno per promettersi amore eterno davanti a Dio.

Prete: "William, will you have this woman to be your wife; to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, and, forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?"

William: "I WILL."

Prete: "Kate Middleton, will you have this man to be you husband; to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, and, forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?"

Kate: "I KATE."
